How has pride been shown in MLD and one other poem you have studied?
My last Duchess is a Browning poem. The narrator (or Duke) shows he has alot of pride because the way he reacts to the execution of his wife. The Duke describes the death of his wife by saying ‘I gave commands; then all smiles stopped together.’ This shows he feels like he needs alot of power or even has alot of power and needs to show it off. Another example of his pride is the way he then acts after she is dead. He acts like the execution is nothing. This is shown by ‘Notice Neptune, though, taming a sea-horse, thought a rarity’. He shows here that he is in a place of great power and does not care for death of his wife.

I agree with your interpretation of the ending of the poem but you have not finished this work. Where is your comparison to another poem from the Character and Voice cluster?
